Picking Up Where We Left Off Together

Hello SG family!

We’ve missed you! After a whirlwind summer, we’re excited to return and reconnect. We hope these past few months have been fantastic for each of you, filled with sunny days, good vibes, uplifting cannabis, and unforgettable moments. Here’s to picking up where we left off and creating more great memories together!

On the weekend of July 13th, we attended the Jimbo’s Wish 1st Annual ALS Golf Tournament at the Settlers Bay Golf Course as the Hole #1 Sponsor! With over 45+ companies throughout the valley in attendance, the golf tournament was a fantastic experience for all of us and we loved seeing familiar faces and new people alike. We were joined by our friends at Herban Extracts, Lady Gray, Choice Extracts/Guest Services, Cold Creek Extracts, and GOOD Cannabis along with some additional support from House OP. Coming together that day with so many fantastic business leaders and entrepreneurs was an amazing opportunity, and we cannot wait to see who will be there next July. There were plenty of talented golf players on the course and the team comprised of Choice Extracts & Cold Creek Extracts staff ended up winning the tournament! Jimbo’s Wish has now raised over $84,000 to directly support Alaskans suffering from ALS, and we here at Scorpion Grass support their mission in every way.

At the end of August, we made a significant shift in logistical strategy by passing our Tudor location on to new owners. With our newly established Huffman location being only a short distance away, now we can deliver the best hospitality experience possible to our Anchorage customers. Huffman has been growing steadily ever since its launch last year to be one of the most dependable and premier cannabis establishments in the city, and we’re aiming at providing even more to our guests there with all sorts of unique sales and special vendor promotions over the coming months. We loved having so many positive and memorable interactions with our guests at Tudor over the course of these past two years, and now with this change we’re excited to develop Huffman to be the one-stop shop for all things cannabis & hospitality in Anchorage. Stop by to see what we have this fall - the store has become better than ever thanks to this transformation to our business & thanks to our amazing staff.

We wanted to take the time to thank our partners at the Ohana Media Group for their continuous support and friendly staff. Ohana Media has supported us with our radio advertising to make what would normally be a stressful endeavor into an easy and manageable affair, as well as help us provide amazing giveaways to pass onto our wonderful customers. Our partnerships and bonds are critically important to us, and these guys deserve special recognition for going above and beyond for the SG family.

Lastly, we wanted to spotlight our Vendor Days hosted at our Huffman location! At certain times throughout the year, we have been aiming at bringing attention to some of our favorite partners in the industry - cannabis companies who align with us in their mission to deliver educational material, quality cannabis, and who value providing great transparency with their customers and clients. We did Vendor Days recently for both Mercy Tree of Alaska and Tanana Herb Company, and on the 20th of this month from 4:00 to 6:00 PM we’ll be doing a Vendor Day for Cold Creek Extracts! Stop by Huffman during this time to see all sorts of specials involving their products and get to know more about the company and what they do.

Until September 13th, voting is now open for the Best of the Valley 2024 Awards by The Frontiersman. You can vote once per day for the businesses, organizations, people and more throughout the valley that you think deserve to be named the best! We at Scorpion Grass would greatly appreciate being selected by you for the Best Cannabis Shop of 2024. We’re always aiming at improving the experience we can provide you with when you come through our doors, and having your vote would mean so much to us. Let’s continue this journey together in exploring the ways in which cannabis strengthens our connections with one another and improves our lives.

Much love,

Scorpion Grass
